Response To Brief

Brief: The Music Department is putting on a charity concert in the summer term and your class has been asked to contribute a selection of performances/compositions. Each student must take part in 15 minutes of musical material.

The age of people at the concert would be age 12-16 because that is the age of people who attend secondary school. I think pop music would be appropriate because it is is able to play on the radio which means it has no swearing and everyone knows the songs which makes it more accessible to the majority of people who enjoy popular music. I think appropriate songs for the concert would be:-  Black Beatles by Rae Sremmurd (feat. Gucci Mane), Fake Love by Drake, Redbone by Childish Gambino, Lock Doh by Giggs and Broccoli by D.R.A.M (feat. Lil Yachty).  I have selected these songs from BBC's Top 40. I am 100% confident I would be able to complete this brief as I understand the youth of today and their music tastes. I need to practice my songs to get 5 completed and learnt by the end of year 10, then I will have 5 songs I can play.
